Championing Human Rights and Civic Values - A Foundation for Peace, Democracy and Sustainable Development in Uganda
Fundamentally, we think that a peaceful, democratic, and sustainable future depends on upholding human rights, civic principles, and good governance. ACRAM Foundation’s aim is to advance and defend these ideals via advocacy, training, teaching, research, and the use of information and communication technologies.
We are dedicated to equipping people with the knowledge and
abilities they need to assert their legal rights and fight for
supportive laws and policies that uphold human dignity. We
strive to raise knowledge of the fundamental obligations and
rights that the Ugandan Constitution and international human
rights treaties guarantee.
We aim to advance best practices in the administration of
justice and strengthen the ability of democratic structures with
knowledge of legal rights, processes, remedies, and civic duties
via research, monitoring, and documenting of human rights practices.
We support public interest litigation and legal aid services
because we believe that everyone in Uganda has the right to access justice.
We are dedicated to creating a robust and long-lasting human
rights organization by forming alliances and collaborations
with organizations, governments, communities, and people on
a national, regional, and worldwide scale that share similar
goals.
The cornerstones of all we do are our fundamental principles of
fairness, teamwork, excellence, and punctuality. Join us in
promoting civic virtues and human rights as we create a better
future for Uganda.

Join the Fight Against Human Trafficking - A Recap of Last Year's Awareness Campaign
Thanks to generous support from our donors - Davidson, Williams, Agnes, and Geraldine - we were able to launch an awareness campaign last year to fight against the scourge of human trafficking.
Our efforts were focused on the Bwaise slum area, where we worked tirelessly to make the population aware of the dangers of human trafficking and reduce the number of people falling victim to traffickers.
In addition to creating awareness, we also made significant strides in the economically empowering survivor of human trafficking, helping them to become self-reliant once again.
Our hard work paid off, with villages in the Bwaise slum area now using whistles to alert neighbors in case of danger – a key achievement that highlights the success of our campaign.
Looking ahead, we’re committed to continuing the fight against human trafficking and providing support for all those affected by this terrible injustice.
